Groove

I've got my new Island but am hesitant to fall in love with it. My time spent in There is so fickle and out of sorts; I spent many months with my new Avie simply enjoying a large amount of exploration while avoiding any direct contact with Therian society. I didn't plan on purchasing another bit of land until the day came when the unrealistic type of geography I had pressed into my imagination came into being and actually went up for sale. And then like a magical mystery wish- the exact type of Island I wanted to own appeared in auctions.

The shocking thing to me is the price point of which I acquired this split Island. I wasn't going to spend over 1.5 Million Tbx this time around- knowing I'd lose money if I ever resold it but willing to take only so much of a loss for owning the little gem. I didn't even have to pay half that price for the land! And while I wasn't expecting to own land again so soon after whittling down the extensive collection of crap I'd gathered over the years by selling it all off in auctions- it just happened that the type of land I wanted came available and no one else wanted it enough to outbid me.

I knew if I were to buy another piece of land that I wanted the land split in two to have one area for personal pleasure and the other area for public enjoyment. The public area was to be used to one day plop down a really top notch set of Art Galleries as I have so many collections of really cool There art. The private area of the split island was to be a home base as having a home is seriously important to me, even virtually. I think I may have found a place to satisfy both wants.

I've been wondering if there is some type of collusion where the sale of signs is concerned. Perhaps an individual or small group of individuals place multiple items (signs) in auctions purposely setting their own desired price point...? Why would anyone list an item up-priced while a lower priced item sits there? If this is the case I sort of in a not way pity the fools who do this type of thing these days. I can't imagine that the general type of person online and in world has Tbx to toss around on signs. I want a few signs but I will not buy them unless they are half the price of the lowest priced sign of the type I'd like and only if I can trade for Tbx outside auctions! Why pay more?

I've begun a sort of quest challenge; I take a shot of some obscure bit of scenery and send willing participants on the hunt for said place with only one less than helpful clue. I like running these 'Where in There' challenges because I think seasoned Questers who are hella obsessed with questing have seen enough of There to possibly solve these challenges. I am going to try to hone my own offerings so that what I show in the photo is extremely difficult to find without being outright impossible to find.

In any event I dig my new Island and my Where In There challenges seem to be going well.

Curious about the
person behind the Avie?
